It may be early. Fall colors are yet to happen. But already the question is being asked. Where do you want to snowshoe this year? With enough snow, the possibilities seem endless. Pilchuck, Dickerman, Pinnacle, Leavenworth...just to name a few. Don't get me wrong, I will enjoy every outing before the snow...but thinking about the winter season helps with the daily grind and snowshoeing is something I am looking forward to. The only tough thing will be...Where's the first place to go when the snow starts to fly? BW biggrin.gif

Our high country is buried in snow 2/3 to 3/4 of the year. It is still summer. I find the thought of cold wet snow just a wee bit poopy. Pappy

I feel the same way... i have allready started thinking of the snowshoe trips as well. My thoughts are also a long the lines of new snowshoes..so that adds to the excitement! One trip I want to do is up through the ohanapacosh entrence of rainier...up to ollalie camp, stay the night, and head further up that trail...meet up with the wonderland and head up the cowlitz divide till the first big views open up (this as a daysnowshoe) then back to basecamp for a second night and then out the next day. I'll have to work up to that one though...the distance and elevation will be heafty. I am sure i could go on for a long time but that's the big one i have in mind for this year. In the mean time I am looking forward to wading through all the fall leaves in search for yummy mushrooms! I love fall!
