Now, the above is the first post in this thread, back in 2003.
What am I to make of it? I read a few pages of this thread, and wondered why I was wasting my time. If I was a moderator, I'd have deleted it long ago. Maybe someone can explain, and further extend ... what?

Why would anyone delete what posters are clearly enjoying?

No idea if anyone is enjoying this thread, never mind clearly.

I'd think 700 pages and counting, with over 500,000 views and 10,000 posts, is enough evidence to show that it's being enjoyed. I'll bet it's the all time winner for views on this board, if not close.
This is the beauty of the bubble up approach to message boards, the posters themselves choose which threads they value, and they show it by supporting the thread.
Page 701 on the way!

That's big, Ski. Sunflowers get so huge they reach a point where it's creepy. Maybe I watch too many scary movies.

It's Bob Moog's birthday today.

And yeah, giant sunflowers are kinda creepy for some reason. It's like flowers shouldn't get that big, which makes me think of scary sci-fi movies from the '50s where the radioactive waste makes the plants grow huge and come alive and eat people.

So this morning I set out to drive to a bus stop that's about 2 miles away. BUt at about 3 blocks from my apartment, I had an idea on a different route to work, so parked my truck and got on another bus. So, I like drove 3 blocks to a bus stop.
All that's ever needed to resurrect Thread Length is for somebody to come along and say they don't get it, and insult it.
