Sorry guys, but the only ones who seem to be available once again are my male friends. I would like to have the gender ratio a little more equal than just me and several men! LOL. I've tried posting to meetup, but mostly men signed up. All women say "maybe" so right now it's first confirmed, first served.
Men: If this is something of interest to you, please contact me. I can put you on a list for the next time.
Plan: meet at beach house afternoon of Dec 31, potluck 6:30; head to Seven Cedars Casino at 9 for dancing or just listening to music. No cover charge. You must be 21 to enter. Most of us are middle aged.
New Year's Day: hike, snowshoe, beach walk, bike, kayak - all depends on the weather.
People are welcome to stay til Jan 2 or 3. Costs: ferry, gas, your food contribution to all meals - we'd try to do more of a plan once we have a 100% confirmed group, $25 toward house costs.
Bring: towel, sleeping bag to cut down on laundry prior to departure, food contribution, toiletries, nice clothes for casino, rest of time adventure clothing, snowshoes and poles in case we can snowshoe, hiking boots, day hike supplies like bottles, snacks, and lunch food. If you happen to have a large supply of wood, some wood is appreciated.
House is fully equipped. Sleeping room for 11, but I cap it at 8 due to only one shower. A couple people want to stay over only Dec 31 so we might have more than 8 one night only. Two bedrooms plus cots, couches, and mattresses. It's on the bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Mt. Baker.
Warning: Some people are likely to be drinking and/or smoking weed so this is not a kid friendly or under 21 event. Everyone who has confirmed is in their 40s and 50s.
