There was a fabulous rainbow from about the northeast corner of Mercer Island extending down to west Renton area. Since it didn't appear to be raining a drop, it was even more remarkable.

This reminds me of being in grade school. A first snowflake would fall. Inevitibly, someone (who was looking at the blackboard of course) would see it (out of the corner of their eye of course).
"It's snowing"
"No it's not."
"Yes it is, I just saw it."
"No it's not....hey you're right, it is snowing! Hey look everyone, it's snowing."
Pretty soon the whole class is looking out the window with visions of snowball fights, sledding, and a snow day dancing in their heads, until the teacher walks over and shuts all of the venetian blinds.
classroom without a window during snowstorm is triple hit of no fun.
