Looks like we're going to have a dry weekend (knock on wood, hold breath, spin in circles 3 times) so looking at a Helens climb. I'm also up for other adventures of as well. Anyone else interested?

Yup. Definitely thinking one day trek, preferably Saturday with the wonderful early AM start.

We had a gorgeous hike with constant mountain views on Sunday between Hummocks TH and Johnston Ridge Observatory. There was a lot of ice glare from the snow slopes in the morning, so looks like nights are still cold enough (at least last weekend) for a pretty good freeze cycle. By afternoon all the ice glare was gone. Have fun up there! -payslee

Awesome! Given the low snow this year did you have snowshoes on much (at all)?

Not a speck of snow anywhere we were. We could see some tiny patches on the north side of Coldwater. My friend came in from boundary to Coldwater and said there was only 1 ~100 yard spot of snow. And I'm sure it's melting fast with this crazy weather. Sorry for the lousy cellphone pic - my camera's at home. I'll post a TR tomorrow if I get a chance - all the North and East side trails are prime in this crazy weather!
Snow line is up at the base of the Crater. -payslee

Whoops, sorry. My dates are messed up from the long weekend. Can you see this FB post? https://www.facebook.com/groups/1523494334543575/1687194544840219/ There's snow at the summit, but it's hard packed. No snowshoes required. The guy only used microspikes.
