That comment contributes nothing positive to the discussion. Further, it's offensive to me, a "born again Christian".
You have lots of rights. The right to not be offended is not one of them.

Some people are happy to let problems fester, as long as they can blame someone else.

They are commonly called politicians. Food as a reward for a job well done is one of the most idiotic food delusions in the US. Like rewarding the car for getting you where you need to go with some gasoline.

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.

There is a REASON (or more likely, several) for the obesity epidemic in this country. Looking for that reason and supporting things that support healthy habits for everyone and ways to counter the epidemic is not blaming others for anyone's problems, it is looking for solutions. Telling someone who has battled obesity since childhood that they are fat because they are lazy helps nobody. The obesity epidemic starts with children and children are not born lazy.

True, but the comment added nothing to your argument.

Actually it does, you are just too obtuse to see the connection..

"Food as a reward" is another element of our improper relationship with food. Using food as an emotional crutch often becomes a compulsive habit. Food as a reward, or a source of comfort quickly becomes an automatic, mindless process. Before you know it, you're absentmindedly ramming whole sticks of butter into your pie hole at breakfast time, and quaffing 32 oz. beakers of corn syrup to make it through the afternoon, with little or no consideration of the consequences. The gasoline analogy actually makes a lot of sense. If we treated food as a source of fuel, instead of a source of pleasure or reward, we'd be a lot better off. Nothing wrong with enjoying food, but we tend to turn pleasant, enjoyable things into compulsions and addictions.

That explains why the French and Italians are all so fat.

Many Europeans eat their big meal at lunchtime - then burn it off working. We reward ourselves for a days work by stuffing our faces in the evening and then move in for a night of TV surfing and cellulite settling.

Big dinners aren't uncommon, either, but what's still less common is constant snacking, and not paying attention to your meals (i.e. "stuffing your face" while sitting in front of the computer or TV or even while driving). That, combined with larger portion sizes, make overeating much easier.
