No kidding that is doing well! The sky with the wispy clouds and wispy fog lower in the canyon frames the picture exquisitely. Or is that just the sidewall being smudged to oblivion when posted on the internet? Hmm. Anyways, Great pano. Yup, Photography, right place, at the right time with a camera able to capture the moment is more important than many other factors often.

Thanks Spamfoote. The haze you see is fog or mist from the falls. it's there in the original. I thought it distracted from the photo and unsuccessfully tried to remove it. But gave up and left it as is. That's why I love my Sony rx100m3. easy to take everywhere! --pat

Yes... with static subject and tripod.. pretty impressive.. these photos were taken with same settings (ISO 200, F 7.1, 32 fl, same shutter speed.. using the 12-40 2.8 Pro lens.. ) 16 mp 40 mp It's not super practical but I find it really intriguing.. the other day I did a pano of my den wall with 16 Hi Rez shots.. merged them in ICE and produced a 358 mp shot! I was just curious if the software could handle it.. I'll give it a go on those super calm evenings for landscape/sunsets/etc.. tho I'll need a sturdier tripod Olympus supposedly is working on a version that can be used handheld.. which would make it much more relevant..

Yes, I'm waiting to see. Seems like the same technology could increase the DR 2-3 stops too. That would get my attention!
