What year do you have? My outback's seats do fold to (virtually) flat.

One drawback - no latch on the back door to open from the inside |
I prefer the bed of my 08 f 150 with foam pads. Depending on mosquitoes.,

Thanks, but I see no apparent way to "unlatch" the bottom seat section in this car. I've owned another car that worked that way though...

Not positive w/o going out to the car - I think 02 or 03. These lay pretty close to flat but definitely not flat and w/o shimming to flatten it it's enough off that I'd prefer to sleep elsewhere (tent, our camper van, etc.), but YMMV.

Interesting. I think mine's an '07. But, I'm kinda short, so maybe it's easier for me to avoid annoying small bumps. Of course, I'd probably still take a sleeping pad to put in the car if I was going to sleep there.

Sorry,I meant '12 or '13, and it's not about small bumps. The seat backs remain at a bit of an incline.
