The new Mazama Gas Station has interior department store lighting which highlights the hiking gear that they sell. Out here? But I only need gas and oil and bacon! http://www.themazamastore.com/about-the-store/history-of-the-store/

When you have bacon, who needs gas & oil?

Some people have better things to do with their lives than walking the dog. Some don't.

Looks like that store has changed a LOT in recent years, could be anywhere in Issaquah or Cle Elum.

A couple from San Francisco bought it a couple years ago and dumped LOTS of money into it. Its pretty nice inside now.

sooperfly, that's fairly modern roofing for 1960, do you have a reference for your photo?

Wrongo. The owners are generational long Seattleites. Rick was one of the most active rock climbers in the seventies, with first ascents many places, including Index and Midnight Rock. Missy's family owns the Husky Deli, and has so for decades at the least.

My only reference to the date is their website which captions the picture " Mazama 1960 ". That's why I put a question mark, didn't seem quite right. If you go to the link brushy posted you'll see the caption.

You're innocent. It's Rick's fault
