According to a news report this a.m., a petition is being circulated by residents and local officials to ban hunting in the Leavenworth area.
Boundaries are yet to be decided on, but will include areas that have a high usage of outdoor activities.
Residents have become irate with the amount of hunters in and around the entire Leavenworth area. Evidently, a hunter just killed a bear in someone's back yard.
