Anyone interested in bagging a peak this weekend? Saturday looks like the only good day to get out (according to the latest forecast). I was originally thinking about Yellow Aster but it's probably a little early in the season for that one. Maybe Mt Pugh? I'm flexible as long as the elevation gain is enough for a good workout. suuure.gif

Curious as to what you mean by early for Yellow Aster? Color? Snow? A couple a photos from last weekend. Yellow Aster NN smile.gif

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

That's crazy! I was going to do White Chuck on Saturday and I even invited Tom along. Appears he wasn't interested though waah.gif lol.gif . Anyway, last minute change of plans, "Beave" and I will doing Phelps on Saturday morning. Little Phelps is right there, so I'm sure we'll tangle with that one too. This is a "rest" weekend in preperation for several long trips I/we've got planned for the last month or so of good weather. Would have been fun seeing ya up there, as I hardly ever run into other people out bagging peaks...another time I guess.

Strange, another hiking buddy of mine indicated he might be doing White Chuck - a pure coincidence? In any case, I'll take you up on the offer.

Aw shoot Randy. I was hoping to see you up on White Chuck. Only reason I didn't take you up on the initial offer was you made it sound so wimpy biggrin.gif.

It is whimpy Tom. If you are looking for a workout then stick with Pugh which has a vertical mile of gain. I have taken people up WhiteChuck because they are from out-of-town and want to get to the top of something. You drive up the road to 4200 on WhiteChuck and the peak caps out at 6900+. Randy must be feeling sick and that is all he has the energy to do.
