Two day trip… June 17 and 18 Base Camp: Beverly Campground… drive 4 miles beyond “29 Pines Campground” on the North Fork Teanaway road. First Day: Fortune Peak… drive to the end of the North Fork Teanaway road (approx 4200 ft)… take the Ingalls Way trail towards Ingalls Pass… 400 feet below Ingalls Pass we headed west (off trail) for a visit to the small, but beautiful “Camp Fire Girls” Lake… attained the ridge between Ingalls Pass and Fortune at 6900 feet and found good boot-path to the summit… returned via the Esmeralda Basin trail… Ingalls Lake is still 95% frozen… Lake Ann has melted out… awesome flowers in Esmeralda Basin.

Second Day: Bill’s and Bean Peaks… on the North Fork Teanaway road (between “29 Pines Campground” and the Beverly Campground) find the road leading to the shared trailhead (approx 3600 ft) for the Beverly Creek Turnpike and Bean Creek hikes… we traveled the Beverly Creek Turnpike trail to where it junctions with the “Fourth Creek” trail… here we went off trail and followed our noses up Bill’s Peak until we found good boot-path about half way up the peak which led us to the summit (6917 ft)… we returned to the Beverly/Fourth Creek trail junction and continued on the Beverly Turnpike to the Volcanic Neck… made an attempt on the Neck, but turned back after about a third of the way up due to heart palpitations… perhaps another day for this one… continued on the ridge to Bean Peak (6743 ft)… and completed the loop by returning via Bean Creek Basin… great views all day long and beautiful flowers from Bill’s Peak to the car.

Keep this up and I'll have to cede my Teanaway crown to you folks. You'll have to start thinking about both west and east peaks of Three Brothers soon.

We added Three Brothers to the "To Do" list when we did Miller Peak in mid-May; however, after researching it, we put it in the backpacking category. We like to keep the day hikes to a maximum of 12 or 13 miles and Three Brothers seemed like a bit more... unless you care to share a Teanaway secret with us. The weather has pushed us to the Teanaway a lot this year... and we are not complaining.
