The trick to packing MREs for a trip is to break them down to just what you want. Take the foil pouches out of the box. Doing this, I was able to get almost a weeks worth of food in one of the brown bags they come in. Save the heaters, they came in handy for alot of stuff (like making a MRE bomb biggrin.gif ).

They quit asking my kids to raid the fridge while I was not looking. I sh## you not the kids would line up outside my car when grocery day came. Ever try unloading your groceries while 5 big kids are glaring at your grub.. I was afraid to take a bag inside incase the kids tried to take off with the food in the car still . an hour later after the $300 worth of food was put away the raiding would begin. They would send my little man in there to get the snacks/soda and anything else they had their eye on during the unloading. Hubby thought I was being paranoid till he witnessed it himself. The MRE incident has cut my grocery bill from $800 a month back down to $600 a month. winksmile.gif

Do they have vegetarian MREs
