So a question for the smugmug users out there? I am trying this service out and so far I really like it. However, I can't seem to get photos to post properly. I select smubmug and select my photo. It puts the ink in and when I submit the post the thumbnail looks correct, but when I click on the image it shows the small image still. I did try replacing the -L with -O, but that didn't seem to work either. Thoughts on what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Looks like smugmug changed their URL scheme. Should be fixed now. It will now display the XL size. See the initial post for revised instructions.

Sorry, I'm trying to post my first TR and having trouble. I uploaded the pics to Flickr. They appear there just fine. When I click Pics on the new post page, it searches and comes back with "no Flickr photos found for raven view" (That's my handle at Flickr. Also tried it with my email, same result.)

Make sure "Hide your stuff from public searches" and "Hide your profile from public searches" are both set to no: http://www.flickr.com/account/privacy/ Also, don't make your photos private. If you want to do that you'll need to embed them manually via the IMG tag.

anyone know if google/picasa changed the photo interface as it pertains to nwhikers? in my old posts, i could add my picasa photos and when you clicked on the photo, up pops a new screen with a full sized (or at least good sized) photo. now, my photos come up small. my default upload size in picasa is 2048 px (best for web sharing). the only other option is original size, though if i recall correctly, original size still results in photos coming up small when clicked on. help!

Looks like picasa changed the links to the original size. Clicking on the "view original" link should now redirect to the original size.

He is right Tom. The 'original' link was there before, but now is gone.

Should work now for all picasa links. BTW, looks like picasa now allows embedding sizes larger than 800 pixels.

Looks like flickr is now displaying sizes up to 2048 pixels for free accounts. We'll need to re-jigger the code to display the new sizes but should help with panos and maps.
