Ah, this is the Washington I know -- overcast and cool, leaves turning and falling, smell of wet cedar and fir in the air, the wet leaves and grass the deepest shades of green.
Welcome back. I've missed you.

I, on the other hand, will pay the weatherman $1 for each extra day of sunshine he gives us. I'm waiting for a b-h h-mbug from Scrooge.

Pff. I'll pay the weather man 2 dollars for each overcast day he gives us so I can go out and finally take some DECENT pictures...

Aye, overcast days are crucial for river and waterfall photos. Sounds like the weatherman is making a fortune.

Agreed! We went into Foss on Saturday and got clobbered with flares and reflections on our photos.

I love to go to Goldmyer when it's like that. Sit in the tub (preferably alone) and listen to the wind in the trees while smelling the wet forest smells and watching the clowds blow up the valley between the trees.

Did any of you boneheads actually get out yesterday?
Horizontal rain and snow. Wohoo, makes for lovely photographs.

Yes, this "bonehead" did get out yesterday -- in the Index/Jack Pass/Beckler area -- and took quite a few photos, thank you. I saw very little rain, just in the Jack Pass area. If there had been anything to photograph there I wouldn't have let the rain stop me. I don't melt.

There's nothing wrong with rain, don't get me right. We wouldn't have all this lovely green color around if it weren't for rain, maybe all the plants would be clear or opaque. My relates in Louisiana just got 22 inches or rain and there house was surrounded by it. There can be too much of a good thing is all I'm saying
