Beckey lists it as being Grade II; class 5.4-5.6 Nice picture Jim. Where was that taken from?

I don't think the Traveling Summit Register should be on a Class I (trail-to-summit) peak, but at the same time I think putting it on a peak such as Bears Breast Mountain is also a bad idea. How about trying to put it only on peaks with YDS Class II-IV summit routes?

Everyone has their own ideas. If it's a designated NW summit, no matter the difficulty, then put it there if that's what turns your crank.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Chief Joseph, you're thinking of the EMTSRM

Oops, I think I asked the question in the wrong thread, that is what I get for not drinking coffee this morning! Well I guess it doesn't hurt to ask here now, so what exactly is the EMTSRM?

Why? Is a summit any less a summit because there's a trail to the top? confused.gif Also, you are confusing the nomenclature for grade and class. Grade is expressed in roman numerals (I, II, etc.) while class is expressed in arabic numerals (1, 2, etc.).

Damn!!!! I was just there earlier this season! One class 5.7 move in my opinion. The rest is low class 5 for about 2 pitches. Not an easy summit to get that thing from....I suspect it will be there for some time!!!!

Art is an adventure.

Whoever updated the wiki and messed it up please undo your changes. The register is NOT on Bears Breast yet.

The original intent was that whoever retrieves the "NWHTSR" has the right to put it on any summit in Wa. With that said, there are a lot less climbers on this site and therefore makes the chance that the register be kept in play less likely. It seems that imaginations are running wild, I see austineats gave a clue of "ursa mammary" and if the weather obliges, then Thursday it would be placed. Everyone seems to believe that it's headed to Bears Breast, I didn't read that as being fact. Then I see someone has updated the wiki to read that it's on Bears Breast. The truth is, we have no idea where it's at or where it will be, so pop some popcorn, kick back, and enjoy the mystery.

Well I just got back from climbing Bear's Breasts Mountain and there was no friggin' register up there! I looked everywhere! I looked under the North Breast. I looked under the South Breast. I even looked in between both Breasts! It was like a Russ Meyer film up there, but there was neither hide nor hair of that register! It's a SCAM!!! mad.gif
