I've been on a Vietnamese food rampage lately, ever since a fellow hiker introduced me to spicy bean curd braised with lemon grass at a restaurant on 12th & Jackson after our Snow and Gem Lakes hike.

This is a Best post-hike grub thread,.... but for pre- hike grub.....I'm can't remember what the place is called , but on highway 410 in Greenwater there is a small place across from Wapiti Woolies that has awesome breakfast that can start a hike out right.
If you have truly spent a full day in the mountains, much of the good places are closed, so the last resort has to be T-bell, sorry, but its so good after eating power bars and Gu all day.

Awesome response! I gonna have to compile a list of all the suggestions (basically copy and add to Quark's list) for future reference. May as well plan to post it for all, while I'm at it.
(BTW: It won't happen this week - there be hiking to do!)

Bob's Restaurant in Moses Lake if you're near potholes reservoir. Right offa I-90. It looks like a cheesy joint in the parking lot of a motel. Well, it is, actually. It has this life-sized aluminum palm tree out front, which is what originally piqued my interest.
Best hamburgers ever!

There's a place along 101 west of Port Angeles called Grandma's with appropriately greasy grill food that I'll hit when coming back from beach hikes or fishing trips, 'cepit once when I was with a vegetarian. She made us stop at that bakery in P.A., which made an excellent sammich. Also, on 101 just south of Aberdeen en route to the Long Beach Peninsula or the Oregon Coast, there's a place called Clark's that has outstanding home made ice cream. In the Gorge, Big River restaurant in Stevenson is very good.

Beautiful clear skies. A great hike. But the Big River Grill in Stevenson is what Mrs Jimmymac talks about the most when recalling our Dog Mountain excursion. Not just the same old fare. Great service. They had a good variety of sleep aids on tap to compensate for the trains that run through town all night.
