will be heading east for quartz mtn or table mtn for Sat nite. If it's quartz, I intend to check out the jeep road heading S along ridgeline to Bald mtn, with unimproved camp Sat nite somewhere with big view. Nice days, cold nites, will be hanging out at 6200'.

Mtngoat: Have you ever driven to the summit of Dome Peak (6591) (still on the Ridge Divide but east of Green Lake) from Cowiche Creek? Or is there another access?

no I have not, the road to green lake from the blue lake junction is closed very securely, huge berm after huge berm, rocks, torn up culverts, the works.
The road up to blue lake and beyond is serious 4x4 only terrain with extreme steep, large rocks, lock to lock tight turns on very narrow traverses, etc.
From what I understand the summit is accessable from the blue lake route however or the N approach along the jeep road traversing Divide Ridge.

Is it a jeep ride all the way to the NE end of Ridge Divide where there is a lookout -- or former lookout?

I have not been on that section, but my Kinzebach map shows that route as a jeep road, this agrees with my topos, it supposedly gets bad after you leave the lookout heading S.
