While everyone was birthday shopping in Leavenworth I decided to run up here for exercise using a mesh shopping bag as a daypack . The Snow Lake and Colechuck TH's were packed. This is the first time I had been all the way up since the fires and I noted the trail had changed a bit. Little Eightmile lake is pretty much dried up and Eightmile Lake is very low, not surprising as it is used for irrigation. The fire extended most all the way to Caroline but is growing back nicely. It was a pity to have to turn back just when it got nice. BTW there is a nice swimming hole in Eightmile Creek just where the road crosses. Made it back in time for an early birthday dinner at the Mozart Cafe. Took a few pics but you all have better ones.
