I liked it. Maybe because it was a different story instead of a rehash.

"Shooter was ok." They took way to much liberty with the story. The book(s) were WAY better. They should have gotten Clint Eastwood to play Bob Lee and they should have used the correct storyline.

It is not based on the cartoon in particular, Sheesh...I still own the original toys from the eighties. Some of my go-bots are un-opened and worth some cash. I am wondering why they hae not re-released the triple changers that they had out when I was a kid. Who ever said that we are in our thirties, and that is why adults are going to see this movie...is right on the money. Transformers, grossed more than any movie in history to open on a Tuesday...it beat out Dead Mans Chelt: Pirates of the Carribean, which debuted on a Tuesday last year...now it is in second...go figure.

Not exactly a movie, but we just finished watching Roots (just came out on DVD). Did not watch the mini-series when it initially aired because my parents were into more socially relevant TV like Columbo, or Kojac. (hyperbole warning) rant.gif I was pretty impressed with it.

I had to watch a stupid movie called Big Blue, but the night was topped off with Hulk, which though a little cheesy is still a good movie

Transformers---Now that was a bad ass film. If you have not seen this movie yet and you like action then get out and see it. If your one of those that waits for the video release, then your missing out on one heck of a ride. I was on the edge of my seat a couple of times and that does not ususally happen when I watch a movie. The only way that this movie could wvwn compare in you living room is if you have a 106" screen in you living room like I do. Otherwsie you will miss out on a great flick.

Went to see 1408 last night. It wasn't super scary like I thought it would be - but it was definitely very creepy. I'll never be able to listen to the Carpenter's "We've Only Just Begun" again without getting the heebie-jeebies! paranoid.gif Definitely a must-see movie, IMO. up.gif

Thanks Canuck, I was wondering about that one. From the while-back-machine: Touching the Void. Excellent book, very, very good movie. Must see for any aspiring climber.

Saw Ratatouille on Saturday. Best movie I've seen in a long time, at home or in the theater.
up.gif up.gif up.gif up.gif good stuff I have shooter sitting here waiting for me to see it .. read all the books, Bob Lee Swagger is among the great fictional heroes.. I'm afraid of watching the movie. I have a feeling it is going to be like watching Starship Troopers, if not quite as bad...

I liked Lady in the Water, odd but a good fable. Paul Giamatti is always good.

I liked it too, but I'm not totally sure why. There were a couple of parts where I was rolling my eyes. I hope he gets back on track with his next flick.
