The only thing that gives me the creeps in this thread is that black widow. I was bit by a black widow when I was little and ended up in the hospital for 3 days - on a respirator for 2 of those days. That bite (on my belly) felt like acid pumped straight into my veins - it was awful! To this day, any dark shiny spider I run across is toast. I squish first and ask questions later. I'm also still veeeeery careful to check under things before I pick them up or carry them. I got bit when I was carrying firewood into the house.
