I've learned that you have completed all 100 of Washington's 100 highest peaks. How about some follow up to that question, now 5 years later. Are you still a list driven nut? Did you, indeed, include your report in "Accidents in North American Mountaineering" for 2002?
Haven't finished the top 100....but working on it. I wouldn't consider myself list driven. I would consider myself peakbagger driven. Just trying to see how many peaks I can bag in my lifetime.

So.... Do they send you a bill for the rescue? I'm just wondering, if I break my ankle, should I just pay my buddy $1000 to carry me out one slow quarter mile at a time???

Have you considered making a donation of $$$ to Chelan County? I bet they could use it. Or, if you can't afford it now, maybe later?

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

No bill for the rescue. It was the military who picked me up in total darkness. They worked with their night vision goggles doing the whole damned thing. pretty cool.

It's great to know we have that safety net here in the US. In a lot of countries, you'd be SOL.
