Anyone know of an orphan Thanksgiving thing? I am working an all-nighter the night before and into Thanksgiving and will be too tired to drive to see my family, but not too tired to eat.... hungry.gif

I am working an all night call the night before Thanksgiving until noon the day of. This is why I won't be able to see my family, I will be too tired to drive and see them. I'm not looking for a listing of activities so much as looking for an orphans' GTG if anyone I actually already know from this website is hosting one. I appreciate the help, but will be in no shape to drive to the ski area, which would be closed by the time I got there anyway, and do not just want to go to a restaurant. It's Thanksgiving for pete's sake, a time to spend with friends or family. I often don't get invited to orphan dinners because me family is in the general area, but this year, work is stepping on my normal family activities.

I know her Slowwalker. She may eat a lot, but otherwise she's cool.

Mary Lou, I hope you find some place to enjoy Thanksgiving, I wish I could help you out frown.gif but I'm an orphan too and have been taken under someone else's wing (whew, just in time!). Just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and I know it's not a fun time to be alone. I'd be surprised if you didn't get some nifty invites, though. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving, Karen

This will be the fourth year out of the last five that I haven't done anything for Thanksgiving. Not going to work is good enough celebration, but I do miss the face-stuffing a bit.

I'm boycotting Thanksgiving for personal reasons this year. I was going to go hiking alone on that day, but did ask someone else to come and got a no-answer = turndown. Oh well frown.gif But I don't think any of this answers Mary Lou's question about good eats smile.gif
