That happens to be an Advent tune, originating as Gregorian Chant.

Only a guy what went to a Jesuit high school would know that. So if Jesus' name was Biff like I suggested over in that other thread, you'd'a gone to a Biffuit high school. Then you'd be a Biffminster. Then when you had too much to eat, you'd be Biffminster Fuller. This is a very lame joke, one I've been working on for years. It takes years to think up a joke this lame. I haven't had an opportunity to tell it until now. Thanks, Riv! But lissen up folks, this is cool: I was at the Black Nativity tonight & this year, at the end of each performance, everyone gets up & joins the choir in singing the National Black Anthem. What was really cool was, tonight, I noticed most of the audience, the vast majority white, didn't even need the leaflet that contained the words. Most knew the words (at least the 1st stanza) and the tune, even the teenagers sitting next to me. I hafta admit, I got a little choked up.

Dude- Rockin' Robin isn't a Christmas song, it's an all-year song!

Load up on guns Bring your friends It’s fun to lose And to pretend She’s overboard Myself assured I know I know A dirty word Hello (x 16) With the lights out it’s less dangerous Here we are now Entertain us I feel stupid and contagious Here we are now Entertain us A mulatto An albino A mosquito My libido Yea I’m worse at what I do best And for this gift I feel blessed Our little group has always been And always will until the end Hello (x 16) With the lights out it’s less dangerous Here we are now Entertain us I feel stupid and contagious Here we are now Entertain us A mulatto An albino A mosquito My libido Yea And I forget Just what it takes And yet I guess it makes me smile I found it hard Its hard to find Oh well, whatever, nevermind Hello (x 16) With the lights out it’s less dangerous Here we are now Entertain us I feel stupid and contagious Here we are now Entertain us A mulatto An albino A mosquito My libido Yea

Nobody has yet mentioned the greatest Christmas song of all time yet! It's called Santa Claus and His Old Lady by Cheech and Chong. Here's a link to the awesome lyrics!

have to agree Slugman...that's one of the top songs for me. But I also like the short spoofs of Christmas songs. Notably.... Old Saint Nicholas FELL off the chimney... and then there's you'd better not laugh, you'd better not cry... the reason is simple I'm telling you why... Santa Claus is DEAD........(groan....) and my favorite short song... Frosty the Snowman Melted......... doh.gif

For those who really like snow and want a white Christmas, then this one is for you. Click here. It is really pretty clever.

It's that time again and it looks like many of you have hashed through this political hotbed, but here are a couple of my choices: Jimmy Smith - Christmas 64 - The band's a little sloppy but it swings like crazy and that Hammond B3 is so cool. Shorty Rogers - The Swingin' Nutcracker - Killer big band of all stars and hilarious arrangements like: The swingin' plum fairy, Blue Reeds, Flowers for the cats. Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics - (this one has a parental advisory ykm.gif I use this one to shock all my friends. Here's a link to the lyrics. (hey, the spell check wanted to change Hankey to HONKEY rotf.gif )
