3-4" in Wenatchee around 800 - 900' as of this morning, but at least we have some partly clear skies and sunshine. Mostly sunny forecast for tomorrow.

Here in West Randolia.
That's a standard Barbie Doll measurement. The dreaded WHOMP is present this morning.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

I just hope our ice melts (no sign of it as of 9:30 am today, Saturday) before that next cold air mass hits. I'm close enough to the Columbia River Gorge that the cold air tends to stay and stay until a strong southerly or westerly wind hits. Pretty icicles hanging off my roof, trees, mailbox aren't even dripping. If I had ice skates, I'd try the street out front, which looks like a pretty good skating rink!
UPDATE, NOON: Finally melting, slowly. Icicles on roof line are gone, but not the ones on my mailbox (obviously the metal is colder than my roof!).
I-84 through the Columbia River Gorge is still closed, though.

I-84 through the Columbia River Gorge is now open again, at least until the next ice event.

We were awakened by a series of storms that came through around 2 am with heavy rain, flash flooding and debris flow warnings in place around Central / Eastern Wa.

My son lives in the Olympia area and says it looks like a tornado went through the area. NWS said it was a microburst. Result is similar though - trees (BIG trees) down/snapped, cars and houses with trees laying across them, fences down and so on.
We expect this here (North Dakota) every year, but I think this is unusual for the PNW. True or no?

True. If my memory is correct, our "tornado alley" is more often around Vancouver, WA. We get maybe a couple of mild tornados or microbursts a year now.
Yesterday afternoon, I was out with friends sipping beer whilst sitting on their covered deck with a very nice view of the fireworks which came over Kraus Ridge. There were three impressive ground strikes. They were the kind that just hovers for a little bit. The rest of the lightning was of the lower quality cloud to cloud kind. Not much wind here, but some good downpours of rain.
We were entertained. I found out that the Slightly Used Dog is not bothered by thunderstorms.

The cell that came through Lacey at 16:30 had enough rain in it that closest house was blurry, and could not see the second house. Muddy green appearance. Lightning on 5 and 10 second cycle. Thunder was continuous. No way to connect flash with one sound. A home two houses the other way took hits from a couple doug firs. Entire truss system flattened. We went to the basement for a dozen minutes. We had not retreated like that before.
Glad I didn't like wind report and stayed home.
Surprised when power came on a 04:30. I was guessing noon.

My girlfriend in Lacey called me yesterday evening while we were having dinner in Leavenworth (weather ok there at the time) to tell me that she saw a tornado pick up her greenhouse in the air and smash it to pieces, just like a scene out of Wizard of Oz.

Exquisite day boating down the Mower Sauk. (Whirlpool Rapid to Sauk Prairie Bridge) I went early 'cuz the later forecasts were a little weird.

It's coming down pretty hard right now at Timberline Lodge. Some snow at Paradise last night.
