Nothing significant fell in our local mountains over the weekend ...just a couple-few inches at most, depending on exact location. We really need a couple good storms to get things going! Pray for Snow...even you Atheists! hahaha

Nature exists with a stark indifference to humans' situation.

36 degrees and has been snowing for an hour or so out in Verlot.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

It was snowing hard at Big Greider Lake this afternoon and we had “great” fun headlamp hiking out for two hours. When we got to my house at 6:30, it was 32 degrees and still snowing. Seems a little early in November for this. huh.gif

Pretty light snow year here so far up at Priest lake, no big dumps of 1-2 feet at a time down at about 3k feet. On the bright side, have not had to shovel any roofs at all and likely won't. Most years we will get 6-8" and it will freeze on the roofs, then 4-6' on top of that. The ground around Priest River is virtually bare, looks like spring and pretty much has all winter.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

last night in Gresham...nice glazed road. Everyone was stuck. My niece sent me the picture as they were totally stuck in the middle of the road. Now throw a bit of snow on top of it.

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.

Snowing fairly hard in Troutdale, OR (east of Portland, NE of Gresham) with strong east wind out of the Gorge making it horizontal. Supposed to dump really hard tonight, maybe a foot--all this on top of yesterday's layer of ice as described by coldrain108. Good time to hunker down by the fireplace with a hot cuppa cocoa and a good book!

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.--E.Abbey

Got about 10 inches so far and it’s still snowing at my house.

Only about 2" in Maple Valley-- although wind is blowing hard and making some cool drifts.

Similar to Rich around Northgate. Skied from my house to Jackson Park golf course. Great skiing there, and much of the skiing on the road was pretty good as well.
