MASSIVE icefields on the trail. You will want trekking poles and traction devices. Without snowshoes you will be post holing around the lake and it wont be fun. This hike is 5 miles round trip, plus another mile if you walk around the lake. There are two large avalanches at the far end of the lake. The largest one is to the left where an entire layer of fresh snow has released from a hidden gully. Donut camp there! I walked out onto a small prominence on the lake and bagged my first summit in several years. I will post more data in the next day or so. Too tired right now.

You could be dishonest as most people are and crop off the copyright which I've registered with the US Copyright Office, and you might make a few bucks but then that embeded digital copyright that you cant see which cannot be forcebly removed can and will be traced. This is very useful information for my legal team.

Sorry, I will have to be more careful about what I say, I'll bet you had to step a few feet off trail under the most adverse conditions to get those photos Some people just don't appreciate the hard work that goes into taking photos from the outhouse!! embarassedlaugh.gif

The increasing number of Nature & Wildlife photographers continues to provide challanges. Many donut appreciate the hard work and sacrifices that are necessary. My unique style and exceptional ability to capture the very spirit of a place at a given moment in time may require shooting from the outhouse. There is also alot of time devoted to post processing and many hours in the studio digitizing high resolution images so that they can be placed on the website.

Congradulations on the sucessfull completion of this challanging feet. Were you alone or did you encounter many freaking armatures while on the trail?

There were alot of people and dogs and on the trail. They were probably armatures searching for avalanche victims. They did not bring a snow claw to dig with. I spent the day trying to stay ahead of the other hikers to photograph them. I stopped long enough to capture a shot of one of them, then handed them my camera so they could get a pitcher of me on the summit. My regular partner got injured last week on a icefield near snowqualmie pass. My first solo into the wild was in 2002. It felt good to touch nature again.

Thank you for shareing this trip rapport! You have touched my sole!

Now it occured to me, as I awoke from deeper dreams... All this evolution and still I don't know what it means. Dirty dreams or purity? How can so many people think they're right when everybody's wrong?
