I'm surprised no one suggested a local company for dialup. There are still a few left. Eskimo (which is a bit weird) and Drizzle (which has a very good rep) are two; Speakeasy has gone national and still hasn't rebuilt their cafe; a few more. Spam isn't usually a function of the ISP; some ISPs have spam filtering, but unless they just mark it, you could be losing real email. I think the 'randomly guess all letters' spam only gets sent to hotmail, yahoo, aol, and other reallllly big targets. The problem is that once an address becomes known as good, it spreads out. BTW, if you want AT&T broadband, get a friend to refer you, they'll get a month for free. I'm sure mcaver would appreciate that. If he doesn't, then I will. And Allison, ask AT&T if they have phone service in your area and how much it costs.

Covad DSL. Covad provides both the high speed line AND ISP. Have had ZERO trouble for two years now. I keep her going 24-7. TB biggrin.gif
