Was a windy, rainy and dusty day Saturday as you have heard. Sunday was better but still windy. As always, a bittersweet place. Lots of flowers and always a wind. There were others, but couldn't get a decent photo of them. The road to the tower around Whiskey Dick is closed for the rest of the year. Power poles and wind generators going up. There is a guard a little ways up the road. As usual, not the best.

Awesome photos. Thanks for the great report. I'm also crybaby.gif because I can't get out to see the bloom. And also sad about the changes happening.

Newt, thanks for those neat pics! Did you encounter any snow up on top, or on the road? Cliff

Nice photos. We were there the Sunday before. Totally clear (I still have most of the sunburn), but also super-windy. It looks like we missed some of the flowers by just a bit, but there were still plenty of hedgehogs blooming and about to bloom. We also ran into a couple of ticks.

Well Ms Quark, I'll be truthful wit ya, something I'm not prone to be with just anybody, I brushed the beard hairs out of my eyes and it made me think 'Death Camas'. Now it may or may not be as I never looked it up to check. If I'm wrong, which I'm always prone to be, please correct me as I labeled it that. Right now I'm too hot and tired to look it up. Oh, and none of them wind generators that I could see. We couldn't get close. Kinda Area 51 for now.
