Stefan, with all due respect to you and your tykes, I really dont think it's the best place for kids. It may be fancy, but it's still a BAR! Now this my just be me, but I'm just not a big proponent of children in alcohol establishments! TB

Well, we do have at least one regular member under the age of 21. Will we be sitting in an area where he can participate if he just happens to show up with his green trails hat and place maps? I think he has some cool photos, books and/or photocopies too. biggrin.gif

Kids would not be entirely out of place. Folks bring kids there for dinner. The area where we'll be is kid friendly and kid-legal until 9 p.m.

Damian, you're old and senile. They are really talking about me, but are hiding the fact just to be polite. They're off on my age, though. I am older than I look. I'm actually 29. Uh, oh....I'm wasting everyones valuable clicking time again.

Hey ---, I hope your full name isn't ... --- ... as that would be very distressing. I think the following citeria should be used for judging music: 1. "There are two kinds of music, the good kind and the other kind." 2. "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing." Alot of smooth jazz is probably the other kind and it has no swing. But the question remains, is it jazz to start with. I say it is not. For example, take the following notes: CEGC. In craggy jazz, that might be the start of something like Sir Duke. In smooth jazz, they would add in alot of fluffy filler like CECGEDC. Saying it with less is better. agree.gif Don't use all the notes up at once, leave them for someone else that wants to write a ditty. agree.gif Sheeesh!! agree.gif It reminds me of those hiker babes using up all the exclamation points so no one else could use them. Finally, I don't know who vim and vigor are. Maybe if I knew them I'd be listening to music in the carpool lane and not stuck behind a big rig in lane 2.

Kenny G is to Jazz what N'Sync is to Rock. Jazz is Miles Davis. up.gif

Well, I say that Mozart has the most art. Although as Salieri said, "too many notes". Why, in my day a genius knew exactly how many notes to write, and didn't write a single extra note. Why, in these days of jazz and their complex rhythms and dissonent harmonies, a person gets all confused and mixes up their 7ths and 9ths and 11ths willy nilly when all a person wants is a few perfect 5ths with a 3rd and 6th thrown in from time to time. Then there's them pesky major 7ths and augmented 9ths and sfortzandos and diminuendos and fustularians and such. Why, I think I'll go take a hike.

Hey Guest, mind putting that into simple layperson terms? I don't want to resort to drugs to have to get the drift. Thanks, NN confused.gif

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.
