There is something really weird growing in one of my garden beds. I would like to know if it's something I shourd try to eradicate or mitigate it. Kinda creepy looking. Anyone have any idea what this is?

Aleuria aurantia eg an orange fairy-cup? up to 8cm diameter, according to my little shroom guide.

Sounds like a good guess. I sectioned one of those and got to see the ascospores last week. It made a really pretty microscopic slide. Fear not the orange peel fungus!

I found a big patch of these guys. These are the edible mushrooms that everyone raves about, correct?

You mean a Chantrelle? I have to see the underside, and the color looks off to me but that might just be the light.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Yeah, looks to me like it has gills--and that would mean it's NOT a chanterelle. Chanterelles have vein-like structures instead of gills. Make sure you've got a positive ID before you eat mushrooms of any sort!

Thanks all.
These guys had gills and were slimy on top. There are so many lookalikes with mushrooms I have a hard time trusting them at all. Too bad too, there was a huge patch of them.
