This has been well described in recent reports and in "Desert Hikes" (Bauer/Nelson) but suffice it to say it is more "rambling" than hiking per se. We didn't see any snakes, weren't sure we were on the correct road (?) to Ainsley Canyon but everywhere we did go was beautiful and the weather was perfect.
It felt like summer -- finally. And many flowers are still in bloom. No snakes (at least we didn't see or hear any). Lots of hoodoos (rock formations) to play on. Coyotes were howling, crickets were singing. Time crawled. It was wonderful.
A nice relaxing ramble. Plan to return for more of the same.
