Then look for the scenery in the nighborhood. Work keeps me from getting to the mountains lately. I've been exploring the neighborhood (on foot) and I found this little abandoned path.
Cemetaries are another great source of non-mountain photographs. Old cars. etc. Anyone -- what do you take photographs of when you are not in the mountains, your true element?

Kubota Gardens and parts of Lake Washington from Seward Park north along Lk Washington Blvd to the bridge can be nice. Kubota Gardens is a true city oasis. It would have become a condominium development if not for grassroots effort to save the gardens.
Deadhorse Canyon and Taylor Creek are also nice.
All the garbage in the back of my sister's car. Why would I take a picture of that?

Polarbear, those are great shots. I especially enjoyed the "garbage". Wrecking yards and abandoned gas stations, anything like that .... fun to photograph.
Thanks for sharing (I know, I know it's a cliche but I mean it).

I haven't been taking pictures recently. Video.
Video of my 2 year old daughter. It is quite cute when she picks her nose and then eats it.
Also when she runs around the house nude trying to elude her mother from putting on diapers.

I did a bunch of Santa pictures and now am getting ready for Valentine's stuff. Honestly, I'm not too sure if I'll be bothering to take my camera out to the mountains anymore. But, maybe....

Good luck with your personal project.

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

Fields of strawberries forever, hopefully. From the field to the jar. Anyone else do this?
