what is it? i go instant because I don't like packing out grounds or burying them. And I HAVE to have it. Period. Folgers sufficed for a while but it's a little bitter. And I like medium roasts more than darks anyways. What do you guys do? Again.....instant COFFEE nothing else.

Well I just bought my brother (who was visiting) a very expensive organic instant freeze dried coffee from pcc.. I apologize, I can't remember the name but he swears it is a lot better than Folgers. It is really the only one they carry. Haggens? I personally take the trouble to fill large cotton tea bags with real ground coffee, (takes a lot), I only need two for the morning. It's not a big deal to me to pack out two cotton bags full of coffee grounds, that I'll re-use again. The bags that is smile.gif After washing!

Sorry! "puget sound coop" I think is what it stands for. An organic store, sort of like Whole Foods. PCC

go find an asian market anywhere in the area.. they are madddddd for the instant coffee. i just picked up a box of some version to see how they were. 1st brand i've tried is: Vinacafe, 20g packets 2 bucks for about 24 envelopes. 2 envelopes works fine for me in the mornings with about 12 oz of water. ( i normally drink a triple espresso every morning.) already has cream and some sugar added, so it's that much less stuff to cart in and back out with me.. i haven't tried the just coffee yet, i don't drink it black. if anyone doesn't have an asian market nearby, find one. energy drinks from the east are way better than redbull (try Shark!), and about 50 cents a piece, less by the case..

I don't drink much coffee anymore due to health issues, but back when i could I drank a lot of this It has everything in it. You can also find similar stuff at any well stocked Asian store. Otherwise, I'd take Folger's singles and a packet of hot cocoa. To me, instant coffee is pretty icky, no matter what..and I had to get it super sugary or creamy to drink it. Just me! Reason #579 why I used to know where every latte stand was for an after hike latte fix lol.gif

are these 3-in-ones in throw away (pack out) packaging or in 'add water' form? I'm don't want to have to soak a bag. c'mon instant gratification.

Yep, instant gratification wink.gif You pour the contents into thy mug, and add hot water. Woo-hoo! (Anyhoo, I do work for Importfood.com, but that just means I get to try everything wink.gif

I will say that for real coffee..this stuff is awesome. Though it is pricey, and you have grinds. You could always do this.

Consumer Reports in the past rated Tasters Choice the best among instant coffees.
