The gate is in at Dingford.

On my way out I saw the workers finishing the gate. The worker I talked to said it won't be locked any time soon. So, I stopped at the NB ranger station to see if I could get a better eta on the closure. They are saying some time in November.

I was up there last weekend and saw nothing. Oh crap.

Is the gate at the bridge or close to the parking lot/TH?

What really makes this bite is Goldmyer hasn't gotten the material for the bridge yet, and the flowers up in dutch miller gap were so nice this weekend.

I don't want to turn this into a rant, but why do we have money to build logging roads into virgin forest, but don't have money to keep an existing road open?

Maybe there should be one last DMG get together since the road will soon be locked and otherwise abandoned? Heck, nobody outside of hey burners is/are going to travel that bugger. Maybe me on my Husqvarna TE510!!!
