Has anyone ever been up the Chenuis Creek road just north of Mt. Rainier? If so, please let me know immediately. I would like to go up the road this weekend, but I do not know if it is driveable. I am suspecting a mountain bike may need to be in order, but I have no idea. The Mt. Baker/Snoqualmie website does not give enough information for the road.
You mean the FS roads across the new bridge over the Carbon River, just outside the park entrance? I drove around back there about a year ago and the roads were fine. I never made it to the uppper reaches because of snow, but the roads were in good condition otherwise.
I'd have to look at a map to figure out how far and which directions I went. All the FS roads start running together in my head after a while. I'll pull a map out tonight and see what I can remember.
I am 60% back in the saddle. I walk. I bike. I have gone snowshoeing. I am just very leary of doing anything right now on steep slopes becuase I am so consciously protective of my ankles. Do I climb? I wouldn't consider what I do climbing yet.
