Mike, that's my fault. The PI asked for a picture and I told them to feel free to use any that had been posted in the thread. I really appreciate that they took the time to do the article on Ed. There were a few other things that happened behind the scenes that I'll fill you in on off line that I think will give you greater appreciation. smile.gif

That makes me feel better, Tom. I appreciated them doing the story as well. I guess if there's any consolation, the attribution is "Family Photo". Guess that means, I'm family, eh? smile.gif It was just a surprise to see that pic there...I would have loved to have given them a better copy.

I would like to come along but will need a ride up the MF.

I am sure we can accommodate you if you want to meet us a 'Kens truck Town' of exit 34 at 6:00. Hope to see you there.

If anyone can think of something to bring like a photo, or say something heart felt tommorow on the summit, that would be really special.

Ebrace life!

Thanks Action Betty! Had a good time hiking with a lot of you for the first time. I had a good time getting to know everybody as we travelled, and a fitting memorial for EDD on the summit.

I just have to say how much all of this stuff has touched me. I just read through the Mt. Formidable Tragedy thread in its entirety and was really, really moved and shaken up. My friend Colin and I had actually planned to do the Ptarmigan Traverse in September, and had to re-schedule to next August, 2007. Really makes you give thanks and praises for what you have. My thoughts are with Ed's family. This is such an apt tribute.

OMG...Thank you...thank you...thank you....and most of all thank you for sharing this with everyone. There are no words to express how absolutely beautiful this is. You know he is just BEAMING....I can just see his smile and the sparkle in his eyes. You are a wonderful group of people. I can just imagine him already anxiously anticipating where his next stop will be.... biggrin.gif How wonderful it is that!?!? He was the kind of man he was to have achieved the devoted friendships of all of you. Even with people he had never actually met before. There is no better tribute to what kind a man Ed was than the way his friends have come together and in an open forum shown their love and admiration -in this forum, at the memorial on Saturday, the Sunday memorial hike. To honor him the way each and everyone of you have. Many people never achieve that kind of wealth and it speaks so loudly about the kind of man Ed was. Thank you! Have a safe journey, Lisa
