That's great, PiB.  How'd he happen to learn that particular song?

This was a cool thread. I didn't mind sitting through all 27 pages because some of the kids grew up right before my eyes. That was a trip...  agree.gif

I have two daughters.  My older daughter (19) is my constant hiking/backpacking partner ... the younger (11) likes the short trips, but she's not really interested in coming along on longer trips yet.

Oceanna would kill me if she knew I was sharing this photo, but it was sooo funny!  I swear she's Gene Simmons' daughter ...  rocker.gif

For Christmas my seven year old nephew really wanted a bathrobe, and not just a bathrobe, but one with dinosaurs on it (or ninjago).  His grandmother couldn't find him the dinosaurs or ninjago, but he did get a nice blue bathrobe.  Kids think bathrobes are cool, because now they look like an adult. agree.gif   One night after Christmas, I called their house as I wanted to talk to his older brother, however it was he who answered the phone.

The conversation went something like this:

"Well hello Daniel, how are you doing?"
"Fine"
"And what are you doing this evening?"
"Wearing my bathrobe."
lol.gif

I thought that was pretty funny as I had expected to hear him say reading a book, watching tv...so the bathrobe was obviously a hit Christmas gift. up.gif  up.gif

Fast forward a few days to his older brother's piano recital.  We are sitting in the small audience and I see little Daniel and his dad enter and sit down in the same row.  Of course the first thing that enters my mind is "there is Daniel, and he is not wearing his bathrobe."  So I hastily scrawl out a note and pass it down to my brother:

Note passed
Note passed

I see my brother read it and grin.  And then he gives it to my nephew. eek.gif   Oops, hadn't expected that.

In a minute, the note is returned to me:

Santa is in trouble.  My nephew claims he is going to stay up all night and grab Santa's leg when he comes down the chimney and the take the sack of presents. eek.gif
