when I was there in '92 it was a foundation with fallen down walls. Guess I missed it by one year!

MtnGoat, what the heck could have caused that to happen in ONE season? Could someone have destroyed it? Did you get pictures of it? TB

It simply doesnt seem that ONE season of snow could cause that damage. We arent talking about a stick built building. This baby was stacked logs! I dont get it. Unless someone purposely destroyed it...... TB confused.gif baaa.gif wazzup.gif

Don't have any pics of what was left, but I was back a couple more times since then, and I hate to break it to you.... it's not just damaged... it's obliterated. Even in 98' much of what was left was gone. And I meant to mention, your square/swallow/granite area roaming trip is pretty sweet, did it a few years ago. Easy traverses.

Thanks Mr. Goat. I wonder what happened to it. Do you think some people destroyed it? You see the pic in 1991, one season of snow couldnt do that could it? I think I'll try that traverse this summer. TB

Just an opinion after looking at TOPO! - it does seem kinda square.
That lake looks like the shape of an iliac crest from the pelvic bone of some itinerant fisherman. ha.gif By the way, Dave...what a beautiful trout in your current avatar photo. Cutthroat?

Yeah, I saw the (ahem) small cutthroat. You must have used a steelhead rod to pull that monster in! In all seriousness, I like to get on here just to see the variety of your avatars. Even Backpacker Joe's butt is a part of the variety, I noticed. biggrin.gif But, I'll leave it to the girls to comment on that one.
