I'm trying to plan a 3 day backpacking trip for Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26) and wondered if anyone has any suggestions for good spots that will definitely be free of snow by that time. I live in Seattle and would like to limit the driving time to 3 or 4 hours. If anyone has any suggestions (especially for loop trips, as we have only one car) I would greatly appreciate hearing them. Thanks.

Ten years ago I went into Paradise Lakes in the Alpine lakes on memorial day. No snow, now ice, no nothing. After this year, I'd say go for it!

Enchanted Valley would be sweet at that time. Many waterfalls in the valley. Another one in the Olympics that I like that offers more solitude is Grey Wolf River trail. Bring a pole on this one.
