curious that the bottle lasted for a while, and it's demise was being passed around the circle....oddly enough, that huge bottle didn't make it past Action B! coincidence? tongue.gif

you stayed sunday night too?
Yep Slugman, Richard, me and daisy. It even snowed a lil' bit over night.
I was wondering if it snowed there. We sure hit it perfect on the weather. I should have stayed and put up the canopy and fired up the satellite dish. That Hawk game had me screaming all the way home. I just about ran off the road several times in the last few mins! Thanks for the invite AN. Everyone was very helpful and willing to share info. When's the next campout......smile.gif

I saw that dish on your car on your way out and was going to ask what you actually use it for?

You were wondering if it snowed there? I was wondering where the heck I was and what happened; shizzy told me we were going to a movie. There was no mention of trudging off into the wilderness for days while staving-off death by exposure to the elements. I became convinced that, if the over-eating didn't get me, there was a minute change of mild hypothermia, if I drank too much and forgot where my tent was. To top it off, this "slugman" guy, under the cover of darkness, initiates some sort of strategic first-strike option with an institutional-size bottle of Vino de Godzilla, then attempts a mop-up mission the next morning, serving "Lime Flavored TangŪ" for breakfast. Uh-huh. I found out yesterday, from NASA, that there's no such thing. I will admit, though, that the sensation of "being on the moon" was rather convincing at first. p.s. If anybody found a sasquatch costume, I'd appreciate it's return. No questions asked or answered. (it's not mine, btw.)

Richard -- It was great to meet you! Glad you could join us... GeoHiker -- Nice pics! I told Tom and others how nice it was up there, but it's good to finally have some evidence...

Giant Wine Bottle
Any reports that I lost consciousness on the ground, near the campfire, may or may not be accurate, assuming any such passing-out did or did not actually occur. Having just learned of this rumor the other day, I am inclined to discount it, while encouraging others to do the same. Please disregard any further mention of such nonsense.

"dittos"
I enjoyed the weekend very much. Great company. Curse the huge wine & rumors that I hurled radically after drinking too much. I have my doubts that any such event was actually witnessed. I do recall somebody, not Quark of course, really needing a bit of a spanking.

i forgot to post this last weekend, but there were 2 young boys wandering around saturday morning and i need to thank them. i'd wandered over to the fire on friday night with Jeb in tow, flashlight in my back pocket, sat for a bit, and then wandered off. they found my flashlight, and returned it to me saturday. please identify these guys!! they require rewarding! was nice to see the few folks i bumped into. i had plans way too early on saturday for such a long drive, but watching the sun come up over the ridge was great. also funny to see a few pics of this tree!
