The Lennox thread reminded me of something I'd read on Johannesburg. In Beckey's Cascade Alpine Guide 2, it says "The astounding feats of the early miner can truly be associated with the boldness and risks of later technical climbing. A miner of the early 1890s, Bily Muragh, drilled holes and put spikes in to reach the ledge high above Gilbert's cabin." p. 252 Are there any photos of the cabin and the location of the ledge?
