Sweet pictures Tazz!
Great artistic quality of the shoreline image that separates it from just another nature shot.

I forgot to mention one important detail. I released some of Ed's ashes in a meadow near Cold Lake along Conrad Creek. It was as nice an area as we'd seen all day, so it seemed fitting. The shoulder of Tieton, amongst infinite choss and loose terrain, hardly seemed like the place. Not a lot seemed to ever irritate Ed, but I thought that might.

Ed will like hanging out in that beautiful meadow!
Thanks guys I took another shot that I like better but the elk poop and tracks are distracting. I do like the composition better in this one though.
elk poop seems a bit distracting... heh
Here are some more....with more to follow Again what a great day!
Curtis Gilbert from the bench Storms a comin This is a guys name and the year of 1919. They are shell casings hammered into the tree. Putz happened upon this neat piece of history up on the ridge top.

You guys ROCK!
Looks like it was a fun gathering. I really wanted to join in on this one but was stuck inside. Hopefully next year.
I've never been to that area yet but it looks like I'm going to have to pay it a visit. I love the wide open.
Thanks for the pics guys and I'm sure that Ed will be right at home Tom. Beautiful!!

Brad your last shot is really nice! here are a couple more.
These are from a very wet cross country thrash around some meadows/marshes on Sunday. The Aspen groves are sweet in the area right now.

Check out this shot by Slug. It shows the "fun" traverse we did across the flowing talus. I tell ya the short solid step was fun with plenty of hand holds and foot holds, but that moving Talus . No fear this time just lots of adrenaline

I know and Randy was on the right route originally. Looking at it from this angle it is so obvious.

I've enjoyed this thread tremendously, especially the photos. Almost wish I had been there, but it would have meant missing the opportunity to fire up my "redneck barbecue" (don't ask) up north of E-burg in the woods by the big tree. And having the cattle herd tromp through our camp and bust my collapsible table and lantern to pieces. Such experiences are to be cherished...like a bad case of measles.
But I am a bit confused, also. It was my impression you guys were camping northeast of Rimrock Lake in the shadow of Bethel Ridge. How the heck did so many wind up down at Tieton Peak? Last time I checked, those locations are several miles apart.
But the photos are great!
