4 labels Naw, its not going to rain this weekend. Right guys? 3 labels Our camp above this tarn. Wish we had some views.
Saturday night the snow came down until the morning, brrr!
Sunday morning we climbed and descended the peak in the clouds-
5 labels I think its starting to clear up!
Sunday evening the weather started to improve leading up to a clear, cold, moonlit night-
4 labels tomorrow is going to be so nice!
Monday morning was very cold being 25 degrees according to the thermometer, but it was going to be a bluebird day without a cloud in the sky!
As the day started to get warmer, the snow all but had disappeared, we decided to visit this lake to enjoy the day-
2 labels Wheres the raft and poles when we need them?
We hung out at the lake soaking in the sun and beauty of the area before heading out.

Its funny you mention that. On the way up, I did get stung on my left hand and below my knee between the 2000' to 2500' area.
The only stings for me this year though, isn't suppose to bee past their season?

I was last in line, and it sure got me moving up the trail fast! The bites swelled up a little bit and the next couple of days had me scratching at them pretty good.

I keep thinking about these poor hornets. They must be thinking "geez! we build this nice nest way out in the middle of nowhere all these idiots keep disturbing us - what gives?"

Paul found the register hiding under a rock after looking for it awhile.
It was a crumpled aluminum tube holding scrapes of paper in about 3 different zip loc baggies. There was some historical entries in there that had been printed out from record like, the first ascent by Fred in 1948. Great find!

We were going for the North ridge until the weather changed our plans to doing the West face. The South ridge looked very far away and a pain to get to.We did finish our route on the last part of the SE ridge traveling on large talus.
