They were trying to keep folks out  shakehead.gif

edit: we asked about the trail, (mentioned in some trail guide book) since it bypassed a watershed and was DNR
property. No problem they said, just go at your own risk. There were 8 or so vehicles at the TH, you could see where folks had squeezed thru the barbwire gate/fence (not the one shown) It's pretty lax over there in HI.

Appears several different entities need access through a single gate with their own key.

I saw a sign the other day that said "POST NO SIGNS"..I was tempted to use a marks-a -lot and write on the bottom of it.."Other than this one!"
