If you travelled 2.45 miles in 5minutes 2seconds, what speed would you be travelling at?

My scratchpad tells me 29.2 mph. Does that sound at all close?

If Stefan hikes a 10 mile loop trip at 2 mph the entire way, and catwoman hikes the first 5 miles at 1 mph the whole way, how fast does catwoman have to hike to catch Stefan at the car?

Stefan will be at the car at the same time catwoman reaches the halfway point.

If she travels at light speed for the last 5 miles she will arrive at the car at the same time.

Oh c'mon Steve. That answer was as irrational as pi. We all know that catwoman would be infinitesmally small at the speed of light, and would get there before Stefan. At least when I took physiques that's what they told me. But then pumping all that iron gave me a blood clot and I lost much of my mammories. Now here is another question. If you stacked all the trekking poles is Washington end to end, would it reach along the PCT from the Columbia River to White Pass?

If 5 women on a solo backpack trip start at the Cady Pass trailhead and hike at 1.4 mph toward Pass Creek and 3 men start on the Sauk trailhead and hike toward Blue Lakes at 2.5 mph, and one of the women has to stop and fumble around in her pack for 5.1 minutes because her tampon wasn’t in the pack lid as was taught her, and 8 men join the original 3 men at White Pass, but are delayed for 20 minutes so they could bag Portal Peak because they just can resist, afterall, they’re men – how much money did Mary and her little sister have left over after spending $6.12 for Lizard Chow?

Now I know some folks have waaaay too much time on their hands. redface.gif NN

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

The problems seems to be people that overuse emoticons--i.e. several or a few where just only one would suffice. Bad wink.gif yawn.gif dizzy.gif rolleyes.gif tongue.gif waah.gif Good dizzy.gif rolleyes.gif
