Remco Hendriks

sounds kinda like the new les Claypool to me but less weird and more groovy. Needs a band and some vocals

That's a pretty neat sample, Michael. Neat looking bass.   How anyone plays "fretless" anything (including violins) amazes me. Guess it gets hardwired into your muscle memory.

Meanwhile, over in the "where did you retire" thread, someone mentioned Michigan and I was reminded of this novelty group "Da Yoopers" from Ishpeming.  A friend from Birmingham gave me a tape years ago. Lotsa "differences" between the U.P. and downstate.  Thought it would be better to post here than in that thread:

Great dance track from 1991.  Best listened to late at night.    ~z

Uh oh, I think I found another You Tuber to obsess over.  Gorgeous red haired Russian w/ a great voice who plays pretty much every instrument.

This popped up in my facebook feed and it's a really good rendition of my favorite movie score.

I've missed several fairly recent videos from this band, just catching up.  They consistently make music I like.

At first I thought she was using a stage name, but that's her given name.  She definitely has a signature sound, she starts out soft and and then gets edgier and let's loose w/ the raspy vocals.

Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang, has put his first album, that's surprisingly a whole lot of fun. He's done all the music himself, which makes it even more impressive.
