Sadly, and to my own surprise, I don't own a copy of Catcher in the Rye, but that will be remedied shortly. In the meantime, here's a passage to tide you over from James Thurber's My Life and Hard Times (not from memory), easily one of the funniest books I've ever read: "She was confident that burgulars had been getting into her house every night for fourty years. The fact that she never missed anything was to her no proof of the contrary. She always scared them off before they could take anything by throwing shoes down the hallway. Some nights she threw them all, some nights only a couple of pair."

The funniest book that I have read that has a totally un-funny title is "The Long, Dark Tea-Time of the Soul", by Douglas Adams. This book is milk-out-the-nose funny. Oh, oh. The thread police are breaking down the door...

Wasn't that the fourth book in his Hitchhiker's Guide Trilogy?

No, the "fourth" book of the Hitch-hikers tilogy is called "So Long and Thanks For All the Fish", followed by "Mostly Harmless". He then wrote "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency". "Tea Time" is another in this series. Too bad there won't be any more.

It is unlikely that this song could ever get stuck in one's head.

Well, I bit on that one, polarbear. Atrocious! I have been paralyzed lately by Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky" whipping through my synapses, over and over and over... huh.gif

The opening notes of Smoke on the Water get stuck in my head in an endless loop sometimes...

Theme Song to Veronica Mars - "We Used to be Friends" by the Dandy Warhols. Need to get it out of my head by the next time I go hiking.

Last year on many of a backpacking trip, thanks to C-Wall, it was the Banana Phone song. Last month it was Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Right now it's "So Long & Thanks for All the Fish" from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. This is stuck in my head......I need help!

Every single day, the moment I open the door to the warehouse it starts... head and shoulders knees and toes, knees and toes.

Ink, it costs a lot to look this cheap.

So I've got my sweaty little palms on a Mormon RAP cd... made by "Everclean" The title of the cd is "Sons of PROVO", with such glorious hits like, "Love Me, But Don't Show Me", and "Diddly Wack Mack Mormon Daddy". I swear it looks like BACKPACKER JOE on the front cover!!! LOVE the fishnets, honey!! You gotta love the lyrics: "Everclean, Cleaner than Listerine". http://www.sonsofprovo.com/ Let me tell you, I'm whooping it up over here.
