I was going to hike this 8 mile RT with 2,500 feet elevation gain hike. But to my surprise the gate was open! I drove all the way to the top instead of walking. I'm glad I did, there was no view at the top. It was all socked in. It's not a pretty hike down a logging road but the view makes up for it. With no view it's just an ugly hike.
So now I'm home early and nursing an ear ache and a sore throat, I'm really glad the gate was open.
