My daughter and I skied from the sno-park to Kachess campground. The main road was groomed for snow mobiles which made for good skiing. The road down to the lake was rolling bumps, a little more difficult to ski.
Only a few cars parked at the sno-park today. We encountered less than a dozen snow mobiles.
Stats: 5 miles with 300 feet elevation gain.

Joe, your Trees2 is the exact photo I was interested in capturing the day JimK and I took our ski trip there, but knowing I was going to be falling a lot, opted to not bring it that day.
That's a brilliantly colored stand of trees, no?

I had avoided skiing this area because of the snow mobile traffic, then I read the report from you and JimK. Then on a snow shoe trip with JimK, we discussed skiing at Lake Kachess, so I decided to finally give the area a try.
My daughter and I had a good time

Joe, glad you had a good time. Did you see any other skiers or snowshoers?

snow shoers - 0
skiers - 2

We encountered the skiers and walkers around noon, just as we were returning to the sno-park.
